What is Functional Neurology?
This relatively new model of care is gaining wide acceptance as a treatment of disorders of the nervous system and improved brain performance. It may be beneficial for many symptoms ranging from post stroke difficulties to vertigo dyslexia, learning disorders and pain syndromes. It is a system to identify areas of the nervous system that are not functioning optimally, using traditional neurological testing and rehabilitating these areas using specific techniques and exercises without drugs or surgery. These applications may include for example: cognitive exercises, eye tracking exercises, visual and auditory stimulation and specific chiropractic adjustments of the spine, extremities or cranium. These applications may help to enhance the ability of the nervous system to process information optimally.
